We provide support, resources, and a loving community for families navigating the profound loss of a baby born still — so every tiny life is seen, named, and remembered with dignity.
A memorial space where families can remember their precious babies. Their lives were real, their love was real — and they will never be forgotten, however briefly they were here.
Connecting bereaved families with trained grief counsellors, peer support groups, and compassionate care — available around the clock, across Kenya and East Africa.
Every life matters, however brief. We celebrate the profound, lasting impact these tiny souls have on the families who carry them always in their hearts.
Mtoto Wa Nyota was founded by bereaved parents, grief counsellors, and community leaders in Kenya. We believe that stillbirth must be spoken about openly — with dignity, without shame — and that no family should walk through grief alone. Our work is community-funded and entirely free for all families.
I never knew a love so immediate, so complete, and so devastating. Mtoto Wa Nyota gave me a community who understood, without needing any explanation at all.
Stillbirth remains one of the most silenced losses in East Africa. These numbers show why Mtoto Wa Nyota exists — and why your support matters.
Kenya's stillbirth rate is 21 per 1,000 births — more than triple the global target of 6. Most are preventable with better care and support.
An estimated 9 in 10 families affected by stillbirth in Kenya receive no professional bereavement support after leaving the hospital.
We serve families across all 47 counties of Kenya — from Nairobi to Turkana, Mombasa to Kisumu — ensuring no family is too remote to receive support.

Their life will be remembered forever in our garden of angels.
If you prefer not to upload a photo, we will use a gentle starfield placeholder for your angel's card. All images are held with the utmost care and privacy.
Please review your angel's card before adding it to our garden. You can go back to make any changes.
Your angel's card has been added to our garden of remembrance. Their name, their face, their story — all held here with love, always.
